Andrew Streifel is a consultant with Environmental Infection Consultants (EICC) and has been associated with problem solving environmental infection control issues in over 3000 hospitals world wide. His expertise is in environmental infectious opportunistic microbes affecting immune compromised patients and employees.
Work Experience
Andy has worked with institutions in development of infection control risk assessments for construction, renovation and maintenance in critical care facilities. His expertise has involved epidemiological investigation for various infection clusters and outbreaks from a variety of environmental sources. He has 34 years experience of healthcare experience dealing with the acute care environment as it affects infection control. His career began at the University of Minnesota academic health center as a dialysis technician and is currently providing service as a Hospital Environment Specialist.
