Wayne Hansen, PE, REA, CEM is a consultant with Environmental Infection Control Consultants (EICC) and has been active in the teaching and training arena with several professional groups including the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, and has written several books on the topic of preventing healthcare associated infections during construction. Wayne has developed risk management plans that have been implemented by commercial real estate facilities and also health care facilities as result of JCAHO IAQ Handbook, and the Opus Communications Manual.
Work Experience
For the past 15 years, Mr. Hansen has been Director of Engineering for MINTIE CORPORATION, a national, indoor environmental solutions provider, specializing in environmental maintenance and engineering since 1940. He oversees all aspects of risk management and IAQ assessments.
Previous experience includes the position of President and CEO of Enerdyne Engineering Group, Ltd. Company oversaw project commissioning for TRW, which included design, engineering, indoor air quality analysis. Similar project also conducted for Southern California Edison. Prior to that, as a Chief Mechanical Engineer and Director of Energy Engineering, RJM ASSOCIATES, Mr. Hansen performed comprehensive energy survey of entire Nevada Test Site which subsequently led to similar contracts for Rockwell and General Dynamics.

Registered Mechanical Engineer in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Nevada, Texas and Washington. Registered Environmental Assessor, California Environmental Protection Agency.

- “Minimizing The Threat of Infection from Construction Activities….Managing the Healthcare Environment During Construction and Renovation.” These were two day seminars hosted by ASHE at nine cities around the country from February of 2002 to November of 2002.
